The Express Entry system is an online application management system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers who want to move to Canada. The system was introduced in 2015 as part of Canada's immigration reforms and is a point-based system that assesses applicants based on a number of factors including age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other factors.

The Express Entry system is a two-step process. 

The first step is to create an online profile and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Canadian government, indicating your interest in immigrating to Canada. Your profile will be ranked against other applicants in a pool based on a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which considers your age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other factors.

In the second step, the highest-ranking candidates in the pool are invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada through regular draws, typically held every two weeks. Candidates who receive an invitation to apply have 90 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence and supporting documents.

The Express Entry system is designed to be fast and efficient, with most applications being processed within six months of submission. It is also flexible, allowing candidates to update their profiles and CRS scores as they gain more work experience or improve their language skills.
